The Esprit de Saint-Pierre is the second wine from Château Saint-Pierre, Cru Classé from Saint-Julien. Certainly one of the most overlooked Château in the Médoc, probably due to its rather small production. The quality of this winery has been at the absolute top for years and the wines from Saint-Pierre are still extremely inexpensive.
The Esprit de Saint-Pierre 2014 has now reached its best drinking phase, it shows a dark berry character with a fine woody note, has a lot of tension on the palate thanks to its good extract and is balanced right through to the long finish. It's a lot of fun!
