At the winery itself, the 2018 Château Haut-Bages Liberal is described as a combination of the richness and roundness of the 2009 and the power and tannin structure of the 2016. It can't go much better. 2018 is believed to be one of the greatest vintages of this chateau ever. Antonio Galloni from Vinous also rates the 2018 vintage as good as hardly any previous year: 92-95 / 100.
