La Romanée in Chassagne-Montrachet is one of the best 1er Cru locations in the town. Due to its small size, the location is not as well known as the other top locations, but great things can be created here, as the Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard impressively shows. A rich white Burgundy with mineral elegance, complexity and a lot of depth, but also quite accessible. A special wine.
