The Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes-de-Beaune by Domaine Henri Delagrange grows west of Pommard on a slope with an ideal south-south-west orientation. The high plant density of 10,000 vines per hectare keeps the yield per vine low and demonstrates the high quality requirements of Didier Delagrange even in lesser prestigious AOCs. 50% of the wine is aged in tanks and 50% in wooden barrels of different sizes, which gives the wine a fragrant woody note, but don't dominate the fruit. A very nice burgundy at a reasonable price .
