Montrachet is the name for the highest quality dry white wines worldwide. This small piece of land in Bourgogne produces incomparable white wines that combine freshness and depth, power and elegance in a unique way.
In 2008, the Faiveley family was able to buy half a hectare of vines in Bienvenues-Batard-Montrachet, which is quite a significant proportion given the total size of around 3.5 hectares. The Chardonnay vines were planted here in 1980. The wine is fermented and matured in 50-60% new barriques.
The 2021 Bienvenues is a sublime and highly elegant wine, lining the mouth with its extract but always fresh and lively, the length of this wine is impressive. A great one that can rest in the cellar for many more years.
