Bel Colles Barbera d'Alba DOC Le Masche comes from vineyards with old vines in the Langhe. This substantial selection is made from low-yield vines and therefore very ripe grapes, which gives the wine great richness and a juicy extract. After fermentation, it is placed in Allier oak barriques, where it matures towards completion.
The Le Masche Barbera from Bel Colle has a dark ruby red colour, which already announces the intense wine. Its expansive scent has ethereal notes reminiscent of dark berries, spices and vanilla. The fullness is impressive on the palate, this wine has nothing of the often cited "Barbera acidity", on the contrary it is perfectly balanced, soft and lots of opulent fruit in the long finish. A fascinating Barbera at a very good price! An ideal accompaniment to game dishes, red meat and mature cheese.
