The red Tecedeira Reserva by Lima & Smith comes from the best quality part of the Douro growing area, the Cima Corgo. The red port grapes Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cão, Tinta Amarela and Tinta Barroca play the main role in this wine. In addition, there are also old vineyards that are planted in a mixed set with up to 25 different varieties, as was customary in the past. Just as ultra-traditional is mashing with the feet, as it has been practiced here for centuries. It then becomes more modern with the expansion, the wine matures for 18 months in French barriques.
The magazine Grandes Escolhas awards a euphoric 18.5 / 20 points for the 2017 vintage and praises the depth, freshness and complexity, as well as the high quality of the french oak.
