Terra d’Aligi is the premium brand of the Spinelli family. High quality Montepulciano d’Abruzzo are still an insider tip among the red wines of Italy. We find in this splendid specimen abundance, concentration and lively tannins, the wines are substantial, but not too heavy, in terms of price they hardly have to fear competition. The best Montepulciano grapes from the Val di Sangro are used for this wine, which are aged in large oak barrels. It smells of ripe berries with floral notes such as violets and roses. The palate is soft and fruity, the tannins are in the background, a smooth red with character and style.
