The les Parcellaires de Saulx 2020 Meursault les Poruzots is an incredibly juicy and profound white wine, grown on the typical lime-marl soil with red clay. The wines from the 1er Cru Poruzots are said to have fullness and firmness, very typical Meursault style.
Despite the high temperatures, the 2020 vintage produced surprisingly elegant white Burgundies. This Meursault Poruzot is a prime example. He shines with a subtle bouquet with great clarity, plus the noble wood and ripe citrus fruits. On the palate it shows substance and finesse, the dense body gives the long finish a creamy touch. A first-class Burgundy that can mature in the bottle for a few years.
Unfortunately, there are only a few reviews of this rare wine. Decanter magazine was enthusiastic about the 2017 vintage and gave it an incredible 95/100. Unfortunately no subsequent years rated.
