Faiveley's Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes comes from vines that were planted between 1945 and 1969. This leads to a low yield, but gives the remaining berries more strength and depth, which you can then also find in the finished wine. Depending on the vintage, you give it between 20 and 30% new oak for ageing.
The classic elegance of the vintage 2017 is reflected in this wonderful Burgundy. Brilliant ruby red color, the fragrance reveals notes of black berries and on the palate you can feel the power and concentration that runs through the long finish. A great wine!
