The Duetto Small Lot from Wente consists of particularly carefully and sustainably grown Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from the two vineyards Smith Vineyard and Sachau Vineyard in the Livermore Valley / San Francisco Bay. It is aged for 19 months in French barriques, which are 80% new and 20% in second use. Wente describes the 2017 Duetto like this: "Our 2017 Artist Series Duetto is a fantastic representation of Livermore Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, with welcoming aromatic of dark blackberries and dried herbs on the nose. This wine has a nice, round mouthfeel and finishes with soft tannins." The label was designed by artist Lisa Elley.
