Mire la Mer by Les Clos Perdus consists largely of the powerful Mourvèdre grape variety, supplemented with Carignan from a vineyard that is over 100 years old and Grenache (also vines over 40 years old). The spontaneous fermentation takes place 40% in new 500L barrels and 60% in steel tanks. The wine then lies on the lees in barrels for another 20 months before it is bottled unfiltered. The Mourvedre makes the Mire la Mer an intense and powerful red wine with Mediterranean flavor. The old vines added draft. Aromatic complex with notes of mulberries, cedar wood and hearty herbs, truffles, some leather and aniseed. Great length and lots of extract on the palate. A great wine, of which there were only 3500 bottles. Organic wine FR-BIO-01.
