The classic in the Coppola range is definitely the Claret, an english term for Cabernet based cuvées as is common in the Médoc. It is reminiscent of the Cabernet blend first produced by Gustave Niebaum in 1910. The retro style is also underlined by the golden net around the bottle, which should once show the outstanding quality of the wine. Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc are aged for 14 months in barriques and result in a spicy and juicy red wine with depth, it has fine tannins and an impressive length in the finale. An affordable wine icon.
