The Blauburgunder (= Pinot Noir, Spätburgunder) is one of the traditional varieties in South Tyrol. At Schreckbichl's St. Daniel Riserva combines tradition and modernity in aging by using 1/3 barriques and 2/3 traditional large wooden barrels. After bottling, we wait another year before the wine is ready for sale.

The Sankt Daniel Pinot Nero Riserva comes from vineyards in Cornaiano, Eppan and Montan and grows at an altitude of about 350m on volcanic soil. The high temperature differences between day and night promote the formation of aromas in the grapes. The result is a typical Burgundy from South Tyrol with a medium garnet colour, aromas of red berries and cherries and a delicate note of wood. An elegant red with aging potential.

We particularly recommend this elegant red wine with game dishes, veal or poultry, and if you like, you can even serve it with hearty fish dishes.
