The grapes of the Baga variety, from which the Vinha Pan is made, come from a hillside vineyard facing south in Panasqueira. At the end of August the crop is thinned out here, these early harvested Grapes are used for sparkling wine production. The remaining grapes are allowed to mature for another month and thus results in this rich and complex red wine. It has a tight tannin structure, you can taste its rather cool origin, on the palate it is powerful and strucured, long and complex. This is a really good one! Can be aged for 15+ years if properly stored.
