For the Ripasso process, the finished Valpolicella wine is mixed with Amarone pomace for a certain time in order to absorb the aroma of the dried Amarone grapes and enhance its colour, Gain concentration and alcohol. So you can call him "little Amarone".
Ripasso from Biscardo (formerly known as maurizioBmartino) Biscardo is aged in 30 hectoliter wooden barrels of Slavonian oak for a year according to the above procedure and also part for short ones Time in barrique (no new). After the final bottling, it is allowed to rest in the bottle for six months before wine lovers all over the world can enjoy it.
The Biscardo Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore has a ruby red color. Its scent is reminiscent of cherries and cocoa, and it also has a delicate note of dried fruit, which is contributed by the Amarone pomace. The taste is juicy, full-bodied and wonderfully round. In the long finale it shows a lot of charm and intense fruit.
