During a film project in Argentina, Francis Ford Coppola fell in love with the dark berry charm of the Malbec grape variety and decided to plant it in California. This is how one of the first Malbec-dominated wines in the USA was realeased. This grape variety dominates in Argentina, but originally comes from south-west France where it is the main variety in the Cahors wines. In terms of tannin content, it is between Cabernet and Merlot, it is powerful, but does not require a long storage time to inspire. We love this variety and we recommend it to all wine lovers.
