The Barolo Bussia comes from the magnificent amphitheater-shaped vineyard in Monforte d'Alba. Prunotto marketed the 1961 vintage for the first time as a single-layer Barolo, which was still a rarity at the time. The 2016 vintage has a bright ruby red color with garnet reflections. The nose is complex with floral scents and notes of red fruit. An intense palate with ripe, silky tannins leads to a long-lasting, harmonious finish. In keeping with the Prunotto house style, this is a rather gentle Barolo with supple tannins that doesn't have to age in the bottle for years to be enjoyed. A Barolo Cru with a lot of charm.
