Amarone della Valpolicella is made from dried grapes of different grape varieties. The drying is used to increase the concentration of all ingredients, so the most poweful top wines in Italy are created. The aim of this cuvée is to find the best balance of the individual grape varieties used: aromas, body and mouthfeel, fruit and acidity, alcohol, tannins and bitter substances as well as balance of the finish. This not only creates complex wines, but also wines with consistently high quality over the years.
The Pietro Sartori Amarone has a dark ruby-red color with a garnet-red rim, a characteristic bouquet of dried red fruits and herbs. Hints of almond, vanilla and roasted aromas with a velvety texture. A great wine to drink in front of the open fireplace.
