The Terre Brune from Santadi is a cult wine from Sardinia. Complex, deep, long-lasting and very concentrated, which he draws from his ancient Cannonau vines. The wine also contains 5% of the rather rare Bovaleddu vine. The Terre Brune Superiore is a powerhouse that is tamed a little by aging in barriques for 18 months, after which it is allowed to mature for another 12 months in the bottle before it goes on sale.
The 2019 is intense ruby red. The bouquet contains fruity notes such as plums and blueberries, as well as spices such as laurel, juniper, and also hints of tobacco and chocolate. The intense taste is voluminous, soft, fruity and spicy, the elegant tannins give the wine the necessary corset. A big one!
Falstaff magazine gives the Santadi Terre Brune 2019 93/100 and writes: "Dark, dense ruby red with a slightly brightening edge. Ripe aromas of blackberry and blueberry on the nose, herbal aromas, as well as hints of licorice. Dense and on the palate fruity, very fine tannins and a long and balanced finish."
