Château Marquis d'Alesme, formerly with the addition "-Becker", is one of the smaller Grand Cru Classé in terms of area, just 16 hectares of vines, which are planted with 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and some Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, are cultivated. Since 2008 it has belonged to the Perrodo family from Chateau Labegorce.
Since then, a lot has been invested in the quality of the wines, so that today, Marquis d'Alesme, under the management of Nathalie Perrodo-Samani, is once again living up to its rank as 3rd Cru Classé. The wines are stylistically rather opulent, which is evident even in the rather elegant 2015 vintage. Parker rates 94/100, the Wine Spectator rates this vintage as 93/100.
