After 30 months in French and American barriques, the Gran Reserva Solar from Amezola de la Mora is bottled. This long storage gives it its typical Rioja aroma, the additional bottle storage afterwards ensures that it is practically ready to drink when released. It has an intense reddish color with a slight browning on the edge, characteristic of the long barrel aging. Fine on the nose, spicy and slightly roasted notes. Delicious, but also complex, mouth-filling, with light balsamic accents, but also enough freshness in a long and elegant finish.
