Chateau Croix-Mouton is considered one of the best Bordeaux Superieur ever. The wine consists almost exclusively of the Merlot grape variety, which harmonizes ideally with the loamy soil, a further 2.5% are Cabernet Franc and 0.5% Petit Verdot, which are not always included in the final cuvée. The vines are on average almost 40 years old, which gives the wine aromatic complexity and depth.
