Thörle - Rheinhessen

When the brothers Johannes and Christoph Thörle took over their parents' winery, practically no one knew the winery. That changed quickly thanks to the brothers' outstanding ability. Today, high above the Rheinhessen village of Saulheim, a stylish new building invites you for a wine tasting, which architecturally fits in perfectly with the modern style of the wines. In addition to the excellent white wines, the reds in particular caused a sensation and that far beyond the borders of Rheinhessen. The 2018 Pinot Noir Holle was awarded 99/100 points by the US wine critic James Suckling, who counts it among the very best Pinot Noirs in the world.
The Thörles have established an elegant Pinot Noir style that avoids the excessive use of oak and the obtrusive, greasy roasted aromas that still characterize many German red wines. Everything here is trimmed for elegance and freshness, as appreciated internationally, the wines have great excitement in every class. With this top quality through the entire collection, one must also mention the still very fair prices. Do not miss that.
