Conti Zecca - Apulien

The Zecca family has a long tradition of viticulture in Puglia. In 1580, Francesco Antonio Zecca, who was originally from Naples, moved to Salento and founded the family's wine-growing dynasty. Grapes were already being delivered to England and Scandinavia in the 18th century. Today's winery was founded in 1935 and produces modern wine with a fruity style, mostly from the traditional vines of the region such as Negroamaro, Primitivo, Malvasia Nera and Bianca. The entire portfolio is made only from our own vineyards, we neither buy grapes nor wine from other vintners. This enables the best quality control and the Conti Zecca wines show this in every quality level. Modern and skilful winemaking results in wines that perfectly correspond to today's zeitgeist and that have enjoyed huge international success.

Monica Larner, Parker's Italian specialist, recommends the winery warmly and emphasizes the remarkable price-quality ratio.
