Campania (= Campania) is located in the south-west of Italy. The volcanic soils of the Mount Vesuvius region offer ideal conditions for viticulture. Although the majority of the production in Campania is red wine, the region also offers a variety of indigenous white grapes that should not be ignored, some of which are of high quality and unique character. The most important varieties are the Falanghina and the Greco Bianco, both of which are probably of Greek origin.
