Alsace

In Alsace, grape varieties are used that are also common in German-speaking countries. Riesling, Pinot blanc, Pinot Gris, Gewürztraminer and Muscat are used to make white wines that are usually more opulent than their German neighbors. In France you can find wines from Alsace in vinotheques and wine shops across the whole country.
