The Trousseau grape variety is a traditional red wine variety from the Jura. It produces light, rather robust red wines with their own unique style, which can be stored for an amazingly long time at the highest quality. Due to its uncertain yield, the area under vines for this individual variety is unfortunately constantly declining.
The light ruby red trousseau of the Domaine des Ronces is delicate and fresh, with scents of strawberries, sloes, undergrowth and white pepper. Its tannins are rather restrained, the alcohol content is low at just 11.5%. Definitely a red wine for wine lovers who can gain something from varieties like Pinot Noir from cooler growing zones. The wine comes from biodynamic cultivation.
