A champagne can only be called champagne if it comes from Champagne in France. This is also the case with the champagne house Taittinger, as well as with other world-renowned producers such as Ruinart and Moët. But the manufacturers differ in one essential point. Taittinger is one of the few producers that is not subordinate to a luxury group. Taittinger has been a family business since it was founded in the 20th century. Another special feature is that Taittinger is the third largest winery in Champagne with almost 300 hectares. It also includes 37 different crus.
The Taittinger Champagne Prestige Rose is composed of thirty percent Chardonnay and seventy percent Pinot Noir, with fifteen percent being vinified as red wine. This gives the rose its intense bright pink. It is not only reminiscent of berries in color but also has a fresh berry smell. The Prestige Rose by Taittinger also reflects these aromatic notes in its taste. It is therefore an excellent match for fruity desserts and also, for example, salad and gratin with red fruits.
