Pinot Noir or Spätburgunder from Germany has a lot to offer in the €10-15 price range. The Fundament Pinot Noir by Wageck is the best example of this. So much elegance and clarity typical of the variety, even with delicate oak, that's really impressive!
The Weinwelt magazine says about this great wine: "Germany's probably most complete Pinot Noir for less than ten euros comes from Bissersheim in the Palatinate. Drinking fun at a high level. Attractive cherry fruit, some dark berries, with a spicy underlay fine calcareous grip and delicately emery texture, the vanilla touch suits it well, juicy Pinot pleasure with fine acid freshness."
In addition, 2019 is probably the best red wine vintage so far in Germany. Perfect harvest, ripe fruit and perfect tannins. Our tip!
