The success of the Primitivo is now also motivating winegrowers outside of Puglia to cultivate this grape variety. The Citra winery, a large winery with excellent wines at fair prices, has grown this variety in the Terre di Chieti with great success.
The Sistina Primitivo convinces with its wonderfully intense scent of ripe berries, plums and violets. On the palate it is very smooth, with a juicy abundance of fruit and noticeable tannins. A real price-pleasure hit.
