The Maximin Grünhaus Riesling Schloss is the dry estate wine of the house. It replaced the "Monopol" a few years ago. This dry Riesling is, so to speak, the visiting card of the Schubert family who own it. The wine is prepared with great care and of course with skill, a Ruwer Riesling like out of a picture book, it has the enchanting clarity and freshness that is typical of the Maximin Grünhaus bottlings. Aromatically, it is reminiscent of ripe citrus fruits, apples and, in the ripe year 2022, also some peaches. The taste is precise and clear, has a lot of play and an incredibly stimulating style that continues into the long-lasting finale. A thrilling Cool Climate Riesling at a very fair price!
