Santenay borders on Chassagne-Montrachet to the south. Pinot Noir suddenly dominates here again, accounting for 95% of the vineyard area. Santenay wines are reasonably priced for Burgundy standards, which you can taste in this delicious 2018 Chanson. The vintage is relatively charming, has a lot of body and extract, the fine barrique note supports the wine and gives it additional noblesse. You can drink it young, but you can also leave it in the cellar for a few years.
