Ruinart Champagne Brut 0.75l

Long before the first champagne house was founded, monk Dom Thierry Ruinart had a vision of the pearl in wine. Champagne was not yet known at the time, but was already very popular with the nobility. Twenty years after his death, his nephew Nicolas Ruinart founded the first champagne house, which is still run by the Ruinart family today. Whether it's regenerating soils through reforestation projects or creating new habitats for beneficial insects such as birds, ladybugs or bats, Ruinart not only deals with climate change, but also supports environmental protection through sustainable winegrowing.

The assemblage of Ruinart Champagne Brut consists of 40% Chardonnay, 49% Pinot Noir and 11% Meunier. This includes 20-25% reserve wines from the last two previous annual hand-picked harvests.

Its shiny golden yellow color reflects its noble origins. This is underlined by the fine string of pearls and the long-lasting perlage.

The Ruinart Champagne Brut is initially fresh in the olfactory perception due to its fruit, but is also characterized by hazelnuts and fresh almonds, which give the freshness a spicy aftertaste. With a full-bodied taste, the Ruinart Champagne Brut not only serves as an aperitif, but is also suitable as an accompaniment to starters of fine origin such as a scallop or as a main course with a sole. It complements cheeses that are refined or wonderfully creamy just as well.
