The wine-growing region of Trentino extends mainly in the Adige Valley. Mediterranean climatic influences and the coolness of the mountain landscape create ideal conditions for viticulture, the grapes mature here for a long time and evenly, and are rarely exposed to great heat, which promotes the formation of "cool-climate" aromas and fresh tannins. The star among the red vines is the Teroldego, supposedly a related to the Syrah vine, which here produce aromatic wines with an elegant structure.
