Qvinterra is the estate wine series from Kuhling-Gillot, of which there are different grape varieties. The name comes from the five communities and five different types of soil where the vines grow. Quality is already a priority here, the selective harvest is done by hand, and the wine is aged in steel and traditional large piece barrels. The wine is there for a long time on the yeast, which makes it stable and structured. The Spanier family proceeds here with the same care and passion as with their first vineyards and large plants.
The parade variety Riesling is the most important estate wine, especially this dry version. This wine can be seen as the business card of the winery. The Qvinterra Riesling is crisp, fresh and juicy, a typical representative of the Rheinterrassen. The aromas are reminiscent of citrus fruits, peaches and herbs, and in the cooler year 2021 also of apples. It is lively on the palate, the balanced acidity marbles the wine and ensures a wonderful drinking flow. One of the best Gutsrieslings in Germany.
