The Pouilly-Fuissé Vieilles Vignes (=old vines) from Domaine Daniel Pollier is aged in barriques, with a quarter of new barrels being used, the rest being second or third use. The 2021 edition is very elegant due to the rather cool year and still has a wonderful bite and depth, aromas such as hazelnuts, floral notes, white and yellow fruits and a subtle woody note that supports the fruit but does not dominate it. A successful alternative to the expensive white wines of the Côte d'Or.
