The Monticor Pinot Noir Reserva from the Terlan winery is one of the best red Burgundy wines in Italy. It is aged for 12 months in 30% large wooden barrels and 70% in barriques, 30% of which are new. The grapes grow relatively high at 450 to 600 meters, which gives the wine an aromatic coolness and fine structure. The 2020 Monticor vintage has a bright ruby red color, relatively dark for a Pinot Nero. The playful scent features dark and red berries, cherries, herbs and a hint of flint. On the palate it impresses with its perfect balance, the extract gives a wonderful fullness, which is balanced by the mineral elegance and the ripe tannins. Has a lot of sunning in the long final.
