Moët & Chandon has created two new unique champagnes to be drunk with ice. In contrast to normal champagne, the two sparkling wines, Ice Imperial and Ice Imperial Rose, will not attract strange looks when enjoyed with ice cubes.
These innovative creations come from the head cellar master, Benoit Gouez himself. When creating the champagne, he had in mind to create a champagne that is to be enjoyed on warm summer days. He has not only succeeded in doing this with the Ice Imperial Rose, he has even produced a sparkling wine that has become another flagship of the company alongside the Brut Imperial and the Moët Rose.
The sparkling wine manufacturer Moët & Chandon, which belongs to the luxury group LVMH, has also remained true to its special style with these innovations. The Ice Imperial Rose is a new pleasure experience that combines joy, freshness and the feeling of summer. He owes this to the carefully and specifically selected vines in his assemblage. The Ice Imperial Rose consists of forty-five to fifty-five percent Pinot Noir. About ten percent of this is red wine. It also contains thirty-five to forty-five percent Meunier wine and five to ten percent Chardonnay. In the production of this unique champagne, care was taken to ensure that the selected wines are not only first products, but also that twenty to thirty percent of them are reserve wines. These increase the intensity, fullness and structure of the champagne.
The Ice Imperial Rose shimmers pink in the glass and has golden highlights. It has a strong, fruity aroma, which is predominantly characterized by fragrant red berries and cherries. Nuances of juicy summer fruits such as figs, nectarines and fragrant grenadine can also be sensed. The many fruity notes are perfectly coordinated so that they are perfectly distributed on the palate and a harmonious balance of fruity and fresh can be enjoyed.
