The 2018 Meursault les Poruzots from les Parcellaires de Saulx is a powerful wine, grown on marl and limestone soils with red clay. Despite its youth, it has an elegant bouquet with great clarity, fine wood and citrus notes. On the palate with finesse, elegance and a dense body, lingers in the mouth for a long time with aromatic persistence and again the citrus aromas of the fragrance, opulent middle-mouth feeling and yet with a precise finish. Great palate cinema.
Decanter magazine is enthusiastic and gives 95/100 (for vintegs 2017): "A fine 1er Cru Meursault, showing restraint, purity and concentration. This is too young at the moment but will develop into a very fine bottle after 2-3 years maturation. Lime/orange zest on the palate with nutty, honeyed notes. Although there is lots of power here, the wine has excellent freshness to balance. A great combination of flavour, acidity, oak and terroir."
