Contessa Marina's Merlot Primitivo is even juicier than the other red wines in this series. It is also super soft and lies in the upper semi-dry range. It was awarded the gold medal at the AWC Vienna wine awards. It grows in southern Italy's Apulia, in the Salento area.
The Marina Merlot-Primitivo has a dark color with ruby red tints. The scent shows finely spicy herbal notes, fruity notes such as cherries and ripe dark berries such as black currants and blackberries. On the palate it is very smooth and equipped with juicy fruit sweetness, the tannins can hardly be perceived in the full body. It ends just as softly as it begins.
An excellent party wine, ideal with pizza, pasta and burgers, it also goes well with all kinds of meat dishes. A universal dining companion.
