The Andeluna winery, is picturesquely situated at the foot of the Andes, in Mendoza, Argentina, Valle de Uco. The winery and vines are located at 1300m above sea level, which was taken as the name for the fruity and charming 1300 series. Andeluna was founded in 2005 and uses the latest technology as well as traditional methods, such as hand-picking all the grapes.
The Merlot 1300 matures for three months in used barriques, which gives it a delicate flavor in the fruity-opulent basic character. It presents itself in the glass with a brilliant ruby red colour. The scent is reminiscent of black cherries, plums, blueberries and black currants, a little vanilla, coffee beans and cocoa. The perfect balance characterizes the taste, the wine is full and fruity, then also with silky tannins in the long finish. It fits!
