The Manna by Franz Haas is today a classic among the white wine cuvées of South Tyrol. Here, too, it is up to 800 meters in height, the locations are ideally oriented to the south-west. This wine was first released in 1995 and is dedicated to Maria Luisa, the wife of Franz Haas, whose maiden name was Manna.

Riesling, Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer and Sauvignon Blanc were fermented and matured in barriques for this wine. Since the 2013 vintage, there has also been a proportion of the Kerner grape variety. The result is a deep and complex white wine that is very typical of its origin in its style and aroma. It can be enjoyed young, but also develops excellently over the years in the bottle. All grape varieties are read and matured separately, the Chardonnay is fully fermented, the Sauvignon Blanc partially fermented in barriques, the other varieties come from steel tanks. The final cuvée for this top wine is only defined after fermentation is complete. After another 10 months on the fine lees, it is then bottled.

The scent of the Manna is reminiscent of elderflowers, pistachios and delicate rose petals (Gewürztraminer). On the palate it is aromatically complex, concentrated and with very good volume, but never at the expense of drinkability. Every sip of manna makes you want to take the next one.
