A specialty in the style of a port wine is the Malbec Dulce from the Domaine Bousquet. Like Port or Vin doux naturel, it is fortified to stop fermentation so it retains some of its natural grape sweetness. It grows on gravel/sand soils in Alto Gualtallary, one of the highest vineyards in Mendoza, located at an impressive 1200m above sea level. After fermentation, the wine is aged for 12 months in second-hand French barriques.

The 2018 Malbec Dulce has a dark purple color. The scent is dark berry and juicy. On the palate it has a beautiful density, the wine is rich, pleasantly sweet and absolutely captivating, with its charm. You can combine this wine very well with desserts such as chocolate cake, it also gets along well with intense cheeses. Of course you can also enjoy it instead of a dessert.

Wine journalist Tim Atkin writes about the 2018 blackberries, cassis, chocolate and coffee aroma, the wine has a full body with a medium-sweet palate and a long finish. 88/100
