The red Le Petit Pas is a cuvée made from the traditional grape varieties of southern France. Grenache Noir (60%) provides a soft palate, Syrah (20%) for color and spice, Carignan and Mourvedre (10% each) also for color and freshness, the latter also for tannins. The vines grow in the AOP Côtes du Roussillon, around the town of Maury, at the foot of the hill on which stands the Queribus Castle, which is well worth seeing.
The Petit Pas rouge by Mas Janeil has a garnet red colour. It smells intensely of red and dark berries, with hints of Mediterranean herbs and a hint of liquorice. On the palate it is a typical Roussillon red wine with its soft structure and warmth in the taste, the tannins are well integrated in the fullness of the wine, it ends with a very good length in the best harmony.
