The l'Artisan series by Paul Mas was only recently launched and was immediately successful, like practically everything that comes from this innovative winery. The success does not come about by chance, the wines simply taste good and have an excellent price-benefit ratio. In addition, they are presented in a contemporary way, it also looks good, no matter which of these wines you put on the table.

Back to l'Artisan: selected vineyards with the best grapes from the Domaine Paul Mas are selected for this series. The harvest takes place in the coolness of the night, so that the fermentation starts slowly and a fruity freshness is preserved in the wine. The vines for this wine grow in the Mediterranean Languedoc. Paul Mas has hired a specialist for the preparation of white wines in warm growing areas, in order to give the wine freshness as well as fullness.

80% of the Chardonnay l'Artisan harvest is fermented in the tank. 20% in American barriques. After that, everything is stored for another 4 weeks in small, used French oak barrels. This well thought-out recipe gives the wine a spicy wood aroma with vanilla and toasted notes, but also leaves the fruit enough room to unfold. Notes of pineapple and ripe citrus fruits can be found. On the palate it is full, supple, but not broad in any way. It's simply fun! Also worth mentioning is the low residual sugar content of this wine. It manages completely without the "sugar tail" that is unfortunately widespread today in many wines. For people who like it really dry, but balanced and not edgy.
