La Cuvée by Laurent Perrier is a classic brut champagne full of elegance and freshness, yet with a full-bodied aroma. It is ideal as an aperitif and for toasting, but it is also a great accompaniment to fish and seafood.
The varieties Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier go into the assemblage of La Cuvée, with Chardonnay making up more than half of the champagne with over 50%, which brings elegance and freshness to the champagne. The champagne is then stored for another 3 years in the in-house crayeres, medieval chalk tunnels. This allows a small dosage and thus preserves the very own aroma of the champagne.
The champagne house Laurent Perrier was founded in 1812 and was able to make a name for itself early on with its excellent wines. During the Second World War, however, the house experienced turbulent times and could only be stabilized again by Bernard de Nonancourt in the 1950s. Extensively educated in all aspects of champagne production, he developed many of Laurent Perrier's new creations as well as reinventing the classics. Through his work and the work of his successors, the House of Laurent Perrier has been able to establish itself as an independent champagne house.
