Montsant has long been in the shadow of Priorato. The wines are made from the same grapes as those of the big brother and are usually sold much cheaper. So a real tip. Gil family estates has a winery here that has produced this wonderfully juicy Mediterranean red wine at 750m above sea level. Garnache, Mazuelo and Syrah are grape varieties, the taste is spicy, reminiscent of dark berries. Rich and fruity with a long finish with a good balance and a delicate oak note.
