What we particularly like about the Grüner Veltliner Strass from Brigit Eichinger is the balance and richness of taste with just 12% alcohol. A great white wine from the Kamptal in Lower Austria for less than €10 for a 0.75L bottle! It's a lot of fun at a very fair rate.
Unfortunately there is still no rating of the 2022 by Birgit Eichinger in Falstaff magazine, the predecessors 2019 and 2020 scored 90/100 points, the 2021 even 91/100. Quote from the 2021 vintage: "Medium yellow-green, silver reflections. Fine mango notes, a hint of blossom honey, candied clementine zests, floral bouquet. Juicy, well-integrated acidity structure, mineral, white stone fruit on the finish, lively and fruity, inviting drinking spirit."
No matter how high the rating is, for less than 9 € a bottle, the Grüner Veltliner Strass is definitely a top value!
