Pinot Blanc

The Weißburgunder, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Bianco, Klevner or also known as Weißer Burgunder, is not only widespread across the entire German-speaking area, but also into Veneto, France and far into Eastern Europe. As the name suggests, it belongs to the Burgundy family and has been known since the 14th century. Its origin is assumed to be on Lake Geneva or in the Rhône Valley, where it no longer plays a major role today.

It usually produces full-bodied and harmonious white wines, which can also mature well in the high-quality area. In Germany it is also approved for the Grosses Gewaechs.
